Balsamic Steak recipe
Ingredients:
1 ¼ lb of skirt, flank, or lean sirloin steak.
1 cup of balsamic vinegar.
2 tablespoons of onion, chopped.
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste.
Directions:
Preheat a gas grill or broiler for 10 minutes, or start a charcoal fire about 30 minutes ahead.
Remove the fat from the steak.
Place in a bowl or plastic bag with the balsamic vinegar and chopped onion; allow to marinate for about 20 minutes.
Drain and place on a hot grill or under a preheated broiler.
For rare, cook for 5 minutes if steak is thin or for 8 minutes if thicker. Cook longer if you would like it medium or well done.
Remove to a cutting board, cover with foil, and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
Slice on a diagonal against the grain.
