Seared Steaks with Red Wine Gravy recipe
Ingredients:
4 (6-ounce) boneless rib-eye steaks
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
¾ cup dry red wine
¼ cup beef broth
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
¼ cup finely chopped fresh parsley
Directions:
1) Season steaks on liberally both sides with salt and pepper.
2) Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add steaks and cook until dark golden on each side, about 4 to 5 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and place, covered, on serving platter.
3) Reduce heat to medium-low. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, stirring, about 30 seconds. Add wine and bring to a boil over medium-high; scrape up brown bits from skillet as mixture boils. Add remaining ingredients and cook until thickened, stirring, about 2 minutes. Spoon gravy over steaks and serve immediately.
